CAMPBELL Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church with Father Steve Denas officiating, for Michael J. Skillas, 62, who departed from this life on Thursday, Aug. 30.
Michael was born March 7, 1950, the son of John and Kalotina Mallias Skillas.
He was a member of the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church and the Kalymnion Society of Campbell.
Michael enjoyed fishing, cooking, his family and simply living life. He was a hard worker and a loving father.
He will be sadly, deeply and forever loved, missed and cherished.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Kalliope Xipolitas, whom he married on July 24, 1977; two daughters, Sylvia (Skillas) Iatropoulos and Antonia M. Skillas; and two sons, Antonios and Raphael Skillas, all of Campbell.
He was greeted at Heavens gate by his parents, John and Kalotina and his brother, Antonios J. Skillas from Arginonda, Greece.
The Skillas family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m.
