ALLIANCE Leonard Butch G. Stewart, 64, formerly of Youngstown, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at his home after an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 8, 1948, in New Kensington, Pa., to Margret L. Stewart - Wright and the late William McCloud.
He was a graduate of South High School in Youngstown, then he later attended Job Corp and served in U.S. Army. Leonard worked at Mahoning Co. Social Services and various other jobs prior to his illness.
He formerly served as Junior Warden of the Pride of Youngstown Masonic Lodge No. 32. He also was a faithful member of the New Zion Baptist Church, where he was president of the male chorus and was on the sick and shut-in committee.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Bobbie L. Mallory Jones- Stewart; his mother; three daughters, Kellie Broathwaite of Seattle, Brandi Stewart of Atlanta, and Sabrina Croake of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; seven stepchildren; two brothers; four sisters; and host of other relatives and friends.
Homegoing services will be held Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the New Zion Baptist Church, 1135 E. Jersey St., Alliance, OH.
Calling hours will begin two hours prior to the service with the family present at noon.
