NILES - Susie Valuschk, 94, died at 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Brighton Gardens of Westlake.
Susie was born in Byesville on May 8, 1918, the daughter of Stephen G. and Susan L. (Carach) Valuschk Sr.
She resided on Vienna Avenue in Niles most of her life and moved to the Cleveland area in 2009.
A 1936 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, she retired after 34 years as an inspector at General Electric, Niles Glass Plant. She was a member of St. Stephen Church, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, Niles Catholic Womens Club and Scope of Niles.
Susie is survived by a sister, Anna Palisin of Olmstead Township.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Cornelia Roman and Mary Valuschk; and three brothers, Joseph, Andrew and Stephen Valuschk.
Calling hours will be Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Church.
Burial will be at St. Stephen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen School.
