EUGENE E. MACDOUGALL

AUSTINTOWN – Eugene E. MacDougall, 78, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Medical Center in Youngstown.

Born Nov. 6, 1934, in Youngstown, he was the son of Rolland MacDougall and Avanell Broderick.

Eugene served our country in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy and was very proud of his military service.

Eugene married Clara “Jobie” (Scott) Poinski on Oct. 22, 1971. Clara died Nov. 4, 2012.

Eugene was a truck driver for Eazor and still drove part-time for Penske trucking. He was a member of the Eagles and loved spending time with his family and dogs, Hershey and Daisey.

Survivors include sons Lynn (Suzann) MacDougall of Jefferson and Michael (Margaret) Poinski of Austintown; three daughters, Kimberly Bartlett (Charles Ramsey) of Austintown and Diana (Jeffrey) Burns of Connecticut and Erin Corah of Connecticut; brothers Mark of Austintown and Robert (Jolie) MacDougall of Florida; two sisters, Patricia Perry of Austintown and Katherine Hurdley of Austintown; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

A memorial service will take place at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lynn MacDougall in C/O the Lane Family Funeral Homes, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, OH 44515.
