HIGH POINT, N.C. Mrs. Eleanor Testa Morakis, 86, passed away peacefully on Feb. 16, 2012, at her home.
Mrs. Morakis was born on Oct. 30, 1925, in Youngstown, to the late Fernando and Filomena DiSchiavio Testa.
She was a homemaker and especially enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, and cooking. She had lived in the High Point area for the past 16 years and was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Newcomers Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Morakis.
Surviving are her daughters, Lahna Morakis of Little River, S.C. and Martisse Lunich and her husband, Michael of High Point; and one granddaughter, Nicholah Lunich of High Point.
A celebration of Mrs. Morakis life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point, with the Rev. David Emery officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Floral Garden Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
