
AUSTINTOWN - Caroline Italiano, 91, formerly of S. Edgehill Avenue, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, Feb. 8, 2012, at her sons home in Green Township.
Caroline was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Frank and Agatha Letina Brunovic, and was a lifelong area resident.
She dedicated her adult life to being a homemaker, and raising and caring for her family. She also worked at the former Rosenblum Brothers Aluminum in Youngstown and Niles for many years before she retired.
Carole was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and its Ladies Guild and Senior Citizens. She was also a member of St. George Lodge No. 66 CFU, and its Pensioners Club. Carole truly enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Italiano leaves two daughters, Barbara Lloyd of Austintown and Michele Mikki Raidel (Lary) Ladigo, also of Austintown; a son, Michael F. Jr. (Linda) Italiano of Green Township; seven grandchildren, Dr. Michael Lloyd, Dr. Brian Lloyd, Gary Raidel Jr., Scott Raidel, Gina Rine, Lisa Devore and Michael Italiano III; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Michael F. Italiano Sr., whom she married June 10, 1938, died May 16, 2004. Two sons-in-law, Mike Lloyd and Gary Raidel Sr.; two brothers, John and Frank Brunovic, and a sister, Mary Vasquez, also preceded her in death.
Family and friends may gather from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.
In lieu of flowers, Caroles family suggests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of contributions to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, OH 44515, or to The Church of Jesus Christ, 185 N. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, OH 44515.
