CANFIELD - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Green Haven Memorial Cemetery Chapel for Antonio Lalama, 79, who died Saturday evening.
Antonio was born Oct. 23, 1931, in Pacentro Provincia LAquila, Italy, the son of Pasquale and Maria (Piccirilli) Lalama, and came to the Youngstown area in 1964.
Antonio retired from Valley Mold in Hubbard, where he had been a crane operator for over 25 years. He attended St. Christine Catholic Church, was a member and former trustee of the Pacentrani Club, where he loved to play Bocce.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Anna (DiPilla), whom he married July 29, 1961; sons, Dr. Patrick (Lori) Lalama of Canfield and Marcello (Ursula) Lalama of Bridgeport, W.Va. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Anthony, Jacqueline, Jonah, Madelyn, Corinne and his siblings, Marco (Maria) Lalama, Elisa Buccitelli, Anna Maria (Frank) Trivieri, all of Welland, Ontario Canada and Angela (Frank) Giangregorio of Hamilton, Ontario Canada.
Antonio was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph and brother-in-law, Augusto Buccitelli.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
