YOUNGSTOWN Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Sandie Linebaugh, 74, who was called unto by God on Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Sandie was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Youngstown, the daughter of Kenneth and Margaret (Mull) Grant.
Sandie was a homemaker and had formerly been a bookkeeper for Greenwood Pontiac. She graduated from South High School in 1955.
She was a loving person who cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was her happiest during the holidays when she was able to gather most of her large family together. Her social spirit kept her on the move. She enjoyed going out to dinner, shopping, getting her hair and nails done, tailgating at Youngstown State University and listening to live bands. When Sandie did stay at home, you would see her in the kitchen cooking some great meals, reading a book, doing crossword puzzles, putting a jigsaw puzzle together or working on one of her many craft projects.
She is survived by her children, Jeannine Turner of Austintown, Sue (Chip) Boughner of Franklin, Pa., Cathileen Giardullo of Indian Lake Estates, Fla., Christopher (Mary) Kerby of Boardman, Colleen (J. Robert) Taylor of Youngstown, with whom she had made her home, Lisa (Gregg) Kauffman of Columbiana, Lori (Dave) Fahndrich of Charlotte, Mich. and Erik (Linda) Linebaugh of Boardman. Sandie also leaves 23 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Verlin Kerby; her second husband, Donald L. Linebaugh; and sister Bette Travis.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions are made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
