CANFIELD - Private graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today by Rabbi Joel Berman at Congregation Ohev Tzedek Cemetery for Sarah Scheuer Zoldan, 86, who passed Sunday morning at Hospice House.
Mrs. Zoldan was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Youngstown, a daughter of Emanuel and Esther Silverstein Lacko and was a lifelong member of the community.
She was a homemaker, member of the temple, its sisterhood, Hadassah, ACLU, the Fred Childress Greater Mahoning Parkinson Support Group, and a graduate of The Rayen School.
Mrs. Zoldan is survived by her husband, Morris Zoldan, whom she married Jan. 8, 2002; a daughter, Audrey Scheuer of Savannah, Ga.; a granddaughter, Shawna Silverman; a sister, Stella Zeigler of Boardman; stepdaughters, Sandy (Richard) Super, Karen (Dan) Hough and Judi Zoldan; and several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents Mrs. Zoldan was preceded in death by her first husband, Martin Scheuer whom she married May 4, 1943, and who passed April 8, 1999; a daughter, Sandra Lee Scheuer; and a sister, Marian Hirschl.
The family has requested that contributions be made to Congregation Ohev Tzedek, 5245 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, OH 44512.
There are no calling hours.
Arrangements are being handled by the McCauley Funeral Home.

“We knew Mr. and Mrs. Scheurer as next door neighbors in our first home on Oakridge Drive. Although it is over 32 years since we lived there, we will always remember how lovely and wonderful people they were. We will never forget the joy of knowing Sarah and Martin. God bless them.
