YOUNGSTOWN Angeline Fimognari, 80, died on Jan. 23, 2010
Angie, as she was known to family and friends, was the third of seven children, and the first American-born of Michael and Mary Rose Fimognari, who emigrated from southern Italy.
After graduating from East High School in Youngstown, Angie enjoyed a 47-year career at the McDonald Steel Credit Union, first as a clerk and then as the manager.
As an aunt and second mother to three generations, she gave nourishment from her kitchen, she gave love with her time and full attention, and she listened so that everyone had their own voice. Her love, kindness and warmth touched everyone she knew.
She lived her Catholic faith by attending church twice a day and by giving her time and money to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
True to Angies humble, private nature, she requested that there be no calling hours.
She leaves a sister, Betty (Al) Milano of Poland; three brothers, Michael Fimognari of New Middletown, Dominic Fimognari of Hubbard and John Fimognari of Liberty; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Fimognari and Tony Fimognari.
There will be a Mass at Saint Charles Church, 7325 Westview Drive, Boardman today at 10 a.m.
The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the charity in which you believe will best help spread love and peace.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson Funeral Home
