Fifteen cooks competed to win the white apron award.
The first-place prize was awarded to Dale Hawkins for his razorback ham style chili.
This was the third time he has won the event.
Meg McKelvey of Youngstown finished in second place with a recipe for a chicken-style chili, while third place was awarded to the team of Sierra and Ilizabeth Hernan.
The people’s choice award went to Michael Hardy of State College, Pa., with his venison-style recipe.
Heidi Hoffman of Austintown won the award for the most unique recipe as a favorite of the judges.
A crowd of more than 150 people were in attendance.
The church raised more than $1,300 for the annual event, which will be used to create scholarships to send area youth to summer camps.
