Boys basketball falls to Girard

The Austintown Fitch boys varsity basketball team fell to Girard on Jan. 5 with a score of 64-57. The Falcons leading scorers were Todd Simons and Kris Brown with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Boys basketball has loss to Boardman

The boys varsity basketball team at Austintown Fitch High School fell to Boardman with a score of 70-53 on Jan. 4. The Falcons’ leading scorers were Tyler Jaros and Todd Simons with 13 points each, and Kris Brown added 10 points.

Boys varsity basketball falls to Alliance

The Austintown boys varsity basketball team fell to Alliance on Dec. 28 with a score of 54-52. The Falcons’ leading scorers were Todd Simons with 12 points and Kris Brown with 11 points. Devin Chaney chipped in with nine points and Reuben Talley added eight points.

Winter athletics will soon arrive and Neighbors wants to be there every step of the way. If you’re a sports coach or the parent of an athlete, we need your help. In order to get teams and players the recognition they deserve, we want to showcase them in our pages.

We can only do that if you commit to sending us game reports and photos each week. If you send it, it will get in.

Provide caption information and where people are located from left to right, front row to back. The sports news we’re looking for ranges from varsity high school teams down to middle school and even elementary and recreational leagues. We look forward to hearing about your teams successes.
