Swimmers take top places against Austintown and Poland

Canfield girls and boys swim teams completed against Austinown and Poland on Dec. 18.

The girls team came in first with a score of 134 (Austintown Fitch - 101 and Poland - 71).

Girls team scores were the 200 yard medley relay team of Sydney Schuler, Elle Dawson, Jordan Helmick and Miranda Peckman in first; in the 200 yard freestyle - Theresa Wasylychyn in third; in the 200 yard individual medley - Sarah Klepec in first; in the 50 yard freestyle - Sydney Schuler in first; in the 100 yard butterfly - Jordan Helmick in second; in the 100 yard freestyle - Miranda Peckman in first; in the 500 yard freestyle - Sydney Schuler in first; the 200 yard freestyle relay team of Elle Dawson, Jordan Helmick, Miranda Peckman and Sydney Schuler in first; 100 yard backstroke - Elle Dawson in first; in the 100 yard breaststroke - Brenna Brocker in second; and the 400 yard freestyle relay team of Theresa Wasylychyn, Brenna Brocker, Sarah Klepec and Isabella Kelty in third.

The boys team also finished in first place, with a score of 136 (Austintown - 66 and Poland - 53).

Boys team scores were the 200 yard medley relay team of Connor Fritz, Ty Schaab, Rob DiDomenico and Matthew Peckman in first; in the 200 yard freestyle - Bobby Kutsch in first; in the 200 yard individual medley - Joe Klepec in first; in the 50 yard freestyle - Matthew Peckman in first; in the 100 yard butterfly - Bobby Kutsch in second; in the 100 yard freestyle - Jason Paris; in the 500 yard freestyle - Rob DiDomenico in first; ithe 200 yard freestyle relay team of Bobby Kutsch, Jason Paris, Matthew Peckman and James Dietz in first; in the 100 yard backstroke - Connor Fritz in second; in the 100 yard breaststroke - Joe Klepec in first and the 400 yard freestyle relay team of Bobby Kutsch, James Dietz, Rob DiDomenico and Jason Paris in first.
