TODAY

Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will host a cavatelli dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Menu includes cavatelli with homemade sauce, two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter and cookies. Cost is $10. Smaller portion of cavatelli and one meatball is $5. Fresh homemade pasta fagioli is $6 a quart, and homemade fresh or frozen pasta sauce is $5 a quart. Takeout only. Patrons can place order and remain in their cars where the dinners will be delivered to them.

THURSDAY

Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for fresh potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. or until sold out Thursday and at 10:30 a.m. Friday, if available, by calling 330-746-9528. Pick up will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Lunches also will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout dinners available from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. Cost is $7. No need to pre-order or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church, and your meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will have a pirogi sale. The cost is $6 per dozen. Potato, cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi are available. Phone orders will be taken from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday. Call 330-542-3525 to order. Pick up will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $7 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-in orders are welcome.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a stuffed cabbage dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. Participants may dine in or carryout. Cost is $10 for adults. Menu includes stuffed cabbage roll, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, applesauce, rolls and dessert.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will host a dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Meals feature a choice of haddock, chicken or shrimp with fries, coleslaw and a roll for $10.50. Pirogi or an extra piece of fish are $4.50; haluski for $3.50; and a child’s dinner is $5.50. Meals are carryout or eat-in. Beverages will be available. For information, call 330-654-5630.

Calla Community Church, 6482 W. Calla Road, Canfield, will host a homemade soup sale from 4 p.m. until sold out. Flavors include chicken tortellini and stuffed pepper soup. Cost is $6 a quart. Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Community Kitchen, 551 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will host breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. sponsored by the Knights of Columbus 3930. Menu includes a variety of pancakes, sausage, beverages and more. Free-will offerings are welcome.

Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will host a chicken pie dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Menu includes chicken pie, potato, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, drink and dessert. SUNDAY

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church hall. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $5 for children. All carryouts are $7.50; containers are 75 cents, or patrons may provide their own. St. Monica Guild will sell pies during the dinner hour.

St. John the Baptist Cultural Society at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish will take orders for haluski with cabbage or cottage cheese and homemade dumplings from Feb. 25 to March 3 for $6 per quart. First Presbyterian Church of Girard will sell homemade chili, stuffed pepper and chicken noodle soup, homemade pepperoni rolls, fresh-baked bread and homemade sticky buns Feb. 16. The soup is $5 a quart and $3 a pint. The pepperoni rolls are $8 for the large (15 inch) and $2.50 for a single. Bread is $2 for a large loaf and $1.50 a for a small loaf and sticky buns are four for $2.50. Orders can be placed by calling 330-759-1460. Deadline for orders is Wednesday Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. After that, items will be only as available. Pick up will be between 3 and 4:30 p.m. at the church, 890 Churchill Road, Girard.
