Nick Mortaro, Keanu Ruiz, Andrew Lecsak, Zack Glavic and Cam Ashley all scored goals in the Falcons’ victory. Alec Herman had two assists and Ashley, Glavic and Alex Debaldo each had one for Fitch. Tommy Fryda and Ryan Johnson scored the goals for the Spartans. Boardman keeper Egan Hare had two saves while Fitch’s Carlo Walters had four. JV: 3-3.

Five players scored goals as the Bulldogs beat the Indians. Jake Baconm, Mason Matiste, Justice Gonzales, Dom Gill and Rocco Parente had the Poland goals. Brennan Kuzman and Kevin Sebowski scored goals for Girard.

Nick Jadue scored two goals and Brian Philibin, Andrew Philibin, Mark Armile and Justin Durkin each added one for the Cardinals (2-4, 2-0 Tri-County League). Brian Philibin had three assists and Nick Spirko had two. Erik Vargo had three first-half saves for Mooney. Charles Willis had three in the second half.

Hubbard 10, Jefferson 0


Anthony Gagliardi scored four goals and AJ Trobek and Derrick Cobbin each had two as the Eagles dominated the Falcons. Tony Dattilo and Aix Sinopoli also scored goals for Hubbard. Nader Kassem had two assists and Cobbin, Jacob Gulu and Michael Nigro each had an assist. Evan Smock had 14 saves for Jefferson.

West Branch 8, Carrollton 3


Griffin Lough scored four goals and assisted on another for the Warriors. Ian Yarwood scored two goals and made two assists. Luke Johnson had a goal and an assist. Avery Francis scored the other goal and Justin Cederbloom had an assist. Goalkeeper Jarad Butler made two saves. For Carrollton, Orial Roset scored two goals and Gus Pesta the other. Jacob Ford had an assist and Evan Meek made nine saves.

Derrick Cobbin, Jacob Gulu, and Nader Kassem scored goals for Hubbard. Eagles goalie Dominic Colella made one save. Griffin Lough had a goal for West Branch. Warriors goalie Jared Butler made six saves.

Bailee Beasom and Haley Vandegrift each scored 10 points with six aces and Maddie Sisler and Chloe Schultz each had five kills for the Tigers (3-5). Kathryn Summerfield 14 had 14 assists and Mia Pantalone had four digs and two blocks. JV: Howland, 2-0.

Maria Torres made 14 kills and nine digs while Katie Stamp contributed nine kills, eight digs and two blocks. Hannah Nawrocki made six kills while Raegan Burkey had 30 assists, nine digs, five kills and seven aces.

Cardinal Mooney 25-25-25, Southeast 13-6-22


Marissa Landers collected 29 assists, eight digs and four aces for the Cardinals. Megan Petty had 13 kills and 11 digs for Mooney (8-4). CJ Sapp (20 digs, five aces), Katie Hough (nine kills, 15 digs, three blocks) and Mariah Farragher (five kills) also contributed to the Cardinals’ victory. JV: Mooney, 2-1.

Crestview 25-25-25, Campbell 5-7-7


Emily Emch made eight kills and four blocks and scored 11 points with six aces for the Rebels (8-0, 4-0 All-American Conference Red). Natasha Salmen made nine digs while Tess Neville made five kills. Ana Denas made 10 digs while Kayla Gavlek made three kills for the Red Devils (1-8).

Bianca Naples scored 11 points while Hayley Lytle made 15 kills for the Bulldogs. Lexi Inman made 23 assists while Casey Sanford made 14 digs. For the Indians, Natalie Pallone made six kills and four blocks while Lexi Cochran made 12 digs. JV: Lakeview won, 2-0.

Newton Falls 25-25-26, LaBrae 22-14-24


Allison Sembach had 32 assists, Elizabeth Barreca had 14 kills and 14 points and Bree Hutson had 12 points and 19 kills as the Tigers (7-2) beat the Vikings (6-4). Ashley Monroe had 16 assists and Tianna Drake had nine dogs and eight kills. JV: Newton Falls, 2-0.

Brookfield 25-19-9-26-15, Champion 19-25-25-24-5


Morgan Tenney led the Golden Flashes with 17 kills, four aces, 17 digs, 26 serve receptions and 17 points. Maggie Dunlap (nine kills, four aces, eight digs, 14 points), Brooke Whitt (17 points, five aces), Kaylee Gania (15 serve receptions, 15 digs, 13 points) and Savannah Dodrill (29 assists) also contributed to Champion’s victory. Melina Manning led the Leopards (4-3) with 19 kills and 25 digs, Erica Carnes had 38 assists and Zionne Newkirk added nine kills and three blocks. Ally Jones scored 19 points for Liberty. JV: Edgewood, 2-1.

Kaelen Yemma led Springfield (8-2) with 35 assists and 10 points. Lyndsay Smith added 12 kills and eight blocks, and Makenzy Capouellez had 25 digs and nine points.

Abby Parish had six kills and two aces and Alyssa Tohm had six aces, six digs and four assists for the Clippers (3-6, 3-4 Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference). Harmony Offenburg added five kills and Grace Witmer had six digs, five assists and four acess for Columbiana. Elyssa Jones led the Bears with nine assists, four points and four aces and Emily Aukerman had four assists, three aces and three points. JV: Columbiana, 2-0.

Danielle Aulet scored 12 aces and made five kills, 26 assists and nine digs for the Rams. Pryce Allen made 10 digs, five kills and four aces. Kate Lesko made 13 digs and eight kills.

Western Reserve 25-25-25, Jackson-Milton 19-14-13


Laura Sigworth led the Blue Devils with nine assists, six kills, 13 digs and 24 points and Danielle Vuletich had 10 kills and eight blocks. Morgan Donithan added 17 digs and six points for Western Reserve. Ashley Cameron had 12 kills, six blocks and eight points and Bailey Estes had 10 assists and six points for the Blue Jays.

Courtney Hubbard had 23 digs, 14 kills and seven aces as the Rockets outlasted the Cardinals in five games. Hannah Faatz added 16 points and six aces, Grace Crown had 15 blocks, Hannah Thomas had 12 kills and 7 aces and Autumn Hanek had 11 assists.

The Golden Eagles’ Rachel Bowen had 16 kills and threee blocks and Savannah Burton had 12 points, six aces, five and a block. Brooke Smith added 15 points and six aces and Haley Dees and Lauren DelVichio had 16 and 11 assists, respectively, for United (4-7, 4-3 Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference). Madie Foster led East Palestine (5-6, 3-4) with seven points, seven kills and two aces. Emily Berger also had seven kills.

Newbury 25-25-25, Mathews 21-21-15


The Black Knights (8-0, 7-0 Northeastern Athletic Conference) picked up 17 points, seven kills and three aces from Erin Piczer to stay unbeaten. Caleigh Hamby added 17 kills and 21 assists, Haley Hamilton had 16 digs and Julia Elia had 13 kills and five aces for Newbury. Malani Eggleston had eight kills and Sarah Zembiak added nine points and four aces. JV: Mathews, 2-1.

Anna Primavera made 21 kills and Hannah Heikkinen made 13 blocks for the Raiders (5-5). Mary Kuhns contributed 38 digs and four aces. Brenna RImer scored the only goal of the game on an assist from Aleesha Tingler to give Bristol (3-3) the win. Grace Kufchak made three saves for the Panthers, while Brookfield goalie Brielle Evans made nine saves.

Sarah Schneider scored three goals and Lexie Ensign had two as the Red Devils beat the Lakers in a Northeastern Athletic Conference match.

Olivia McLean scored the Warriors’ goal on an assist from Elizabeth Ostadali. Goalkeepers Sam Plochner and Taylor Slagle combined for six saves. The Warriors are 5-0-2. Mooney stats were not reported.
