Marriage proposal is upstaged by 3-year-old’s call of nature near couple

A Michigan boy found a way to make his mark on the occasion of his mother’s marriage proposal.

Allyssa Anter said “yes” May 12 to the question popped by her boyfriend, Kevin Przytula. Video shows the bride-to-be and man on bended knee are blissfully unaware that right next to them, 3-year-old Owen Anter had dropped his pants to urinate in front of Bay City’s Ring of Friendship sculpture.

They were alerted to the pint-sized proposal crasher by the giggling videographer, Przytula’s 11-year-old daughter, Kayleigh.

Allyssa Anter says her son “stole the show,” and acknowledges his potty training is a work in progress.

Man pleads guilty in Target, CVS rooftop robbery case

An Albanian man living in New York pleaded guilty in a Rhode Island federal court to cutting his way through a Target department store roof last October, prying open an ATM and stealing more than $14,000.

Twenty-seven-year-old Epirot Krasniqi of Brooklyn appeared before a U.S. District Court judge May 11 and pleaded guilty to larceny charges and burglary of controlled substances.

Krasniqi went on to cut through a wall of the store into a CVS pharmacy, where he stole a prescription package of Oxycodone from a locked cabinet.

Thirty-two-year-old Liridon Gashi is accused of helping him with the break-in. They used portable two-way radios.

Police responded to a tripped burglary alarm, and found the men hiding inside air-conditioning units on the roof. After a federal indictment was issued in November, Krasniqi was arrested by FBI agents in New York. Gashi was arrested by FBI agents in San Francisco in March.

Krasniqi will be sentenced in August. No plea agreement was filed for this case.

Student takes DeVito cardboard cutout to prom

A Pennsylvania high-school student took an unorthodox approach to prom and brought a cardboard cutout of actor Danny DeVito to the dance.

WHTM-TV reported Allison Closs and her two-dimensional date joined other Carlisle High School seniors May 11 for prom. Closs purchased the cutout of DeVito online along with a scooter she used to move the figure.

DeVito starred in the classic TV series “Taxi” and films including “Twins” and “Batman Returns.” He also starred in the hit comedy “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”
