Simply Slavic seeks volunteers

In preparation of the eighth annual Simply Slavic festival from noon to midnight June 16 on Federal Plaza East, organizers are inviting the public to volunteer. Volunteers of every age, skill and ability are needed. Help is needed for everything from set up and take down to ticket sales and assisting in children’s areas. Various three-hour shifts are available. Every volunteer receives free admission, two soft drink tickets and a complimentary invitation to the volunteer banquet that will take place in August after the festival. Volunteers sought for Mobile Meals

Trumbull Mobile Meals is a community-based service agency dedicated to providing a home-delivered meal service to Trumbull County residents who are homebound. Due to a large increase in senior hunger in the community, volunteers are desperately needed to deliver meals in Niles, Cortland, Howland, Warren, Vienna, Girard, Liberty and McDonald areas. All are welcome to share an hour once a week, or just once a month. For information, call Terri at 330-394-2538.
