O’Brien announces amendment that would speed up TJX referendum vote
COLUMBUS
State Sen. Sean O’Brien of Bazetta, D-32nd, today announced the passage of a legislative amendment that could prevent a delay in the proposed TJX project in Lordstown.
If a referendum vote on the project’s zoning takes place, an amendment to House Bill 292 that was passed by the Ohio Senate would move up the vote from November to August.
“This amendment gives the people of Lordstown the ability to vote to approve the Lordstown TJX project if they choose to do so,” said O’Brien. “All the amendment does is speed up the process so that if there is a vote in support of TJX, the project will move forward in an expedited manner.”
The bill now heads to the House of Representatives.
