Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for fresh potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. or until sold out Thursday and at 10:30 a.m. Friday, if available, by calling 330-746-9528. Pick up will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Lunches also will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. This will be the last sale of the season. Sales will resume in September.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will host Friday pirogi sales. Call in orders to 330-755-1316 Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with pickup from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Choose potato, kraut or prune pirogi at $6 per dozen. This will be the last day for pirogi sales for the season. Sales will resume in September.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $7 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome. This is the last pirogi sale this season. Sales resume in September.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter and coffee. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $8 and will be available until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.


Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.


Aut Mori Grotto will host its monthly pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon at the Grotto Hall, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes only (regular or blueberry), sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries, biscuits and gravy, coffee, tea and juice. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12 and free for those under 3. The Grotto is a local nonprofit organization that supports charities such as Akron Children’s Hospital, Sojourner House, cerebral palsy and dentistry for challenged children under 17. North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. for a donation. Menu includes eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs with peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and beverages. Centenary United Methodist Church, 1413 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, will host a free community luncheon from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sandwiches, desserts and more will be served.


Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church will sponsor a free neighborhood community dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown.


Simon Road Church of God, 4750 Simon Road, Boardman, is taking orders for nut and apricot kolachi for $10 each. To order, call Linda at 330-758-5108, Ronni at 330-758-7447 or Wendy at 330-757-2470. Pick up will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. May 31.


Aut Mori Grotto will host a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. May 31 at the hall, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Cost is $10 per person and includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and a beverage. All proceeds will benefit the Silver Lining Cancer Fund. Dine in or carryout will be available. St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 U.S. state Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., will host Ted’s Strawberry Social and Breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 3. Menu includes French toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk or buckwheat pancakes, with choice of maple or strawberry syrup, scrambled eggs, eggs scrambled with peppers, onions and cheese; home fries, bacon sausage, ham, toast, cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juice and milk. Also includes shortcakes and ice cream. Cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children.

VFW Post 2799 Auxiliary will sponsor a homestyle breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon June 3 at the post home, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield. Cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children under age 12. Menu includes eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.
