Mom, daughter arrested on domestic violence charges

YOUNGSTOWN — A mother and daughter were both arrested on charges of domestic violence about 11:40 a.m. Sunday at a home in the 500 block of West Evergreen Avenue.

Reports said Louise Ingram, 24, went to the home of her mother, Shirley Ingram, 48, to cook noodles when the two began arguing about Louise Ingram being pregnant.. Shirley Ingram threw a knife at her daughter, while Louise Ingram threw hot water on her mother, reports said.

When officers tried to place Shirley Ingram under arrest, she told police she would not be arrested without a fight, reports said. She struggled with officers and tried to bang her head on the ground, reports said. Officers had to support her so she could not hurt herself, reports said.

Shirley Ingram was booked into the Mahoning County jail on a charge of domestic violence while her daughter was booked into the jail on charges of domestic violence and resisting arrest. Both are expected to be arraigned later today in municipal court.
