Foster parents to be recognized at dinner

NILES

Trumbull County Children Services will host its Annual Foster Parent Recognition Dinner at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Ciminero’s Banquet Center, 123 N. Main St. The theme for this year is “Real Heroes Don’t Wear Capes, They Foster.” Seven foster families are being honored for five to 25 years of service. All 67 Trumbull County Foster Families will be acknowledged for their dedication to children and families. Special guest speaker for the evening is Terry Paronish, a former foster parent with Trumbull County Children Services.

The annual Foster Parent Recognition Dinner is one way that Trumbull County Children Services celebrates the excellent care that Trumbull County foster families provide for an average of 120 children all year long. Foster and adoptive families play a vital role in helping children and families heal and reconnect, thereby launching young people into successful adulthood.

If you would like more information about National Foster Care Month, or if you have interest in becoming a foster/adoptive parent, please contact Trumbull County Children Services at 330-372-2010.
