Jake Gehring allowed one hit, struck out four and walked one in six innings for the Raiders in a sectional final. Chase Miller struck out five and walked two in 41⁄3 innings for Southeast (4-12). Ben Rivera led South Range with three hits and three RBIs. Kris Scandy had two hits and two RBIs for the Raiders (11-14). Jared Bajerski and Josh Stear each had two hits. South Range will play Crestview Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the district semifinals at Cene Park.

ROOTSTOWN

Devin Turvey pitched five innings, striking out eight to pick up the win for Crestview. Offensively, Yurvey added two hits and an RBI. Jeff Fro and Tanner Daub both drove in two runs for the Rebels, as they advance to play South Range.

CANTON

Chase Franken (5-4) scattered three hits in pitching the shutout for the Clippers (12-13). He struck out four. Joe Bable doubled. In the fourth inning, Franken tripled and AJ Perkins singled to drive in the only run.

CHAMPION

Drake Batcho’s no-hitter included 16 strikeouts and two walks. Batcho also hit a two-run homer. Andrew Russell’s two hits included a double and drove in two runs.

MINERAL RIDGE

Heartland Christian led 2-0, but the Rams scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fourth. Mineral Ridge pitcher Koby Zupko got the win. Jake Carfalo, Wyatt Skruck, Taylor Squiric and Zupko all had hits for the Rams. For Heartland Christian (3-12), Joey Denofrio had two hits and Tom Kling had three hits and two RBIs. Aaron Gault had a single, a double and an RBI. Caleb Graft pitched six innings. He walked six and struck out seven. Mineral Ridge will play at Lowellville today in the sectional final.

Jackson-Milton 11, Leetonia 3

NORTH JACKSON

Jackson-Milton scored eight runs in the bottom of the eighth of its sectional semifinal. Jackson-Milton’s Sebastian Lay struck out seven and allowed one hit in three innings. Leetonia’s Brock Simpson struck out one and walked a pair in four innings. Toby Heckman, Logan Olenik and Simpson each had two hits for the Bears. Devan Christoff and Joey Williams each had two hits and three RBIs for the Blue Jays. Luke Campbell drove in two runs. Jackson-Milton will play the Western Reserve on Saturday in a sectional final.

Lisbon 8, Sebring 3

LISBON

A seven-run fourth inning helped Lisbon (11-8) pull away from Sebring. Logan Bell had two hits and drove in two runs while Garrett Cox also had a pair of hits for the Blue Devils. Cameron Summers drove in three runs on a bases clearing triple. Jake Hunter had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for Sebring.

Lordstown 0

BERLIN CENTER

Garrett Mihalick threw a five inning no-hitter as Western Reserve (14-8) rolled past Lordstown. Mihalick had six strikeouts. Offensively, Mihalick totaled four hits, including a triple and drove in four runs. Dan Windham also drove in four runs for the Blue Devils, including three hits. Ryan Slaven and Dom Velasquez also drove in two runs each.

Jordan Neil’s walk-off single ended the game as the Blue Devils advance to play top-seeded Springfield in today’s sectional final. Nate Ifft pitched the eighth inning to get the win. He and Zach Nolf each had a hit and scored two runs.

VIENNA

Hunter Schoenfeld struck out two for Mathews in a sectional final win. Sam Hammers struck out two and walked a pair for St. John. Chris Ritz had two hits, including a three-run double, and drove in five runs. Dan Canter had four hits and four RBIs. Adam Wibert drove in three runs and Gabe Canter drove in two. Brandon Smith hit a double. Mathews will play Maplewood in the district semifinals on Thursday.

Bristol 6, Fairport Harding 2

BRISTOLVILLE

Landon Slusher drove in three runs and Mike Wiebe had two hits to lead Bristol (10-5). Gage Elza tripled for the Panthers and Matt Church was the winning pitcher with four strikeouts. The Panthers will play Warren JFK today at 5 p.m.

POLAND

Poland pitcher Ryan Johnson got the win in a continuation game from earlier this season. He struck out three for the Bulldogs. Poland’s Reed McCreery and Cole Kosco both went 3 for 4 with two RBIs. Braeden O’Shaughnessy was 2 for 3 for the Bulldogs (8-8). Zachary Yaskulka was 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Warren Harding’s Brandon Arnold had two hits. Elijah Taylor was the losing pitcher for the Raiders.

HUBBARD

Hubbard pitcher Lukas Mosora struck out two and walked two in three innings. Mosora hit a three-run home run in the fourth for the Eagles (16-10, 8-3 All-American Conference White Tier). Shannon Slovesko had three hits for Hubbard. Dom Hover also had three hits, incuding a game-ending triple. Evan Jarvis had a double. Struthers pitcher J.D. Hall struck out three and walked one in 32⁄3 innings. Stephen Mistovich had two RBIs for the Wildcats. Jared Laczko had three hits for Struthers (7-12, 2-8). Mistovich and Dave McLaughlin had two hits. Chad Laczko had a double.

JEFFERSON

Jefferson needed two seventh-inning runs to send the game to extra innings. Niles took the lead in the top of the 11th inning, only for Jefferson to score two runs in the bottom half of the inning to win the game. Zach Kemp and Christian Marte drove in two runs each for the Falcons. Kemp had three hits, while Marte had two. Andrew Vance, Nathan Jacobs, and Andrew Mehalic also had two hits. Mehalic pitched eight innings, striking out six. Zach Leonard and Joe Gallo had three hits each for Niles. Nick Guarnieri and Dillon Weida drove in two runs each for the Red Dragons.

Lydia Spalding fired a one-hitter, striking out 11 as the Falcons (13-9) advance to the district semfinal at Solon to face Canfield (16-8). Spalding sparked the Falcons’ offense with a triple and double. Lainie Simons hit a two-run single. Ashley Fuller tripled and made a strong defensive play in the seventh inning. Carlee Gaca hit an RBI single while Kacie Roth and Christina Tucker each had hits. The Comets are 9-7.

Kayla Rutherford (11-1) tossed a one-hitter, striking out 11 and walking one for the Cardinals (19-2) in the sectional final. Rutherford homered while Carley Francis, Brooke Chandler and CJ Sapp each had two hits. Chandler and Conchetta Rinaldi each drove in two runs. Kelly Williams, Caitie Perry, Francis and Chandler doubled. For the Eagles, Jessica Addler doubled in the first inning. The Cardinals advance to next week’s Alliance district where they will play today’s winner between Ursuline and Alliance.

Rachel Ward’s four hits included a triple and a double, and she scored twice in the completion of a suspended game. Megan Ward’s three hits included a double and she scored three runs. Bri Callow’s three hits included a double. For the Blue Jays, Lynzi Satterlee had two hits. In the second game, Cierra Schrader led the Blue Devils (14-4, 11-2 MVAC) with two singles. Katie Donkers tripled and Sarah Morello doubled. Donkers and Schrader each scored two runs. For the Blue Jays, Taylor Sahli’s two hits included a double.
