Boardman police find meth bottles in speeding man's car

A Youngstown man pulled over for speeding had two plastic bottles in his car containing methamphetamine, according to a police report.

Charles Walter, 37, of Humbolt Avenue, faces charges of drug abuse and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers saw Walter’s car Thursday afternoon on West Midlothian Boulevard traveling 48 mph in a 35 mph zone, the report said. When they followed him, he sped down Glenwood Avenue.

Police finally stopped Walter at Shields Road and noticed his pupils were constructed, the report said.

A search of Walter’s vehicle turned up two plastic containers with methamphetamine inside and a short length of straw with suspected methamphetamine residue, according to the report.

Walter told police he last used the meth the previous night.
