Gun arrest | 'I got people trying to kill me right now.'

YOUNGSTOWN

Reports said police Monday found a loaded 9mm handgun with a 36-round extended magazine after a traffic stop on the South Side.

Officers pulled over a car about 5:55 p.m. driven by Tremaine Wright, 21, of Manchester Avenue because he is a suspect in a domestic incident over the weekend, reports said.

Wright tried to run after he was pulled over in the 700 block of Pasadena Avenue and had to be taken to the ground, reports said.

Reports said officers found the gun in the car along with heroin and $327 cash. Wright said he had the gun because "I got people trying to kill me right now," reports said.

Wright was booked into the Mahoning County jail on drug and weapons charges.
