Comedy show at Nic’s Lounge

NILES

A comedy show featuring Big Chevy will take place at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Nic’s Lounge, 1629 N. Main St. Admission is $5. Hosts will be Jon Huff and Alex K.

Special guest performers will include Richie Santana, Loc Loveless, Chris Kemp, Nathan Cox, B. Gaddy, Carlos Rivera, Joseph Anastasia, Kristy Belich, Shawn Aaron, Monica Boor, Shane Herman, Nancy Howard and Henry James Chambliss.

Friendly Squares monthly dance

NILES

The Friendly Squares’ monthly square dance will take place Saturday from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Niles SCOPE Center, 14 E. State St. Neil Harner will be the caller and Frankie Hammond will call the line dances.

This will be a High/Low dance with alternating tips for new dancers currently taking lessons and tips for more experienced dancers. Admission is $6. For information, call Gene Hammond at 330-506-3370.

Outdoor opera at Stambaugh

YOUNGSTOWN

Opera Western Reserve will present an outdoor musical and dinner event titled “Opera Al Fresco” in the garden courtyard of Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., on June 22 at 7 p.m.

This event will feature OWR Young Artists members performing opera arias and Broadway favorites. A full dinner buffet will be served, and the cost of admission also includes two drink tickets.

A silent auction of art pieces, concert tickets, gift certificates and gift baskets will be included. Tickets are $75 ($550 for a table of eight) and are available at the box office, by phone at 330-259-0555 and online at stambaughauditorium.com.
