New GetGo officially opens in Boardman
BOARDMAN — A new GetGo Cafe + Market officially opened today at U.S. Route 224 and California Avenue.
The location has 14 fueling stations, as well as a convenience store and cafe with made-to-order food such as burgers and sandwiches.
Today’s grand opening event featured a sub-cutting ceremony, an appearance by television personality Adam Richman and remarks from company and Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley officials.
Polly Flinn, GetGo senior vice president and general manager, emphasized the location’s fresh food offerings.
“We’re all really busy,” she said. “But why should we have to suffer with inferior food or slow service?”
GetGo will donate 10 percent of its in-store sales from this weekend to Akron Children’s. It also will have a number of promotions for customers over the weekend.
