Man wanted for drug trafficking since 2007 now in jail

AUSTINTOWN

Township police received information on the location of a man who has had outstanding warrants for drug trafficking since 2007.

Michael Johnson, 33, of Parkgate Avenue now sits in the Mahoning County jail.

A Mahoning County grand jury indicted Johnson on Nov. 8, 2007, on two counts of trafficking in cocaine and three counts of trafficking in marijuana.

The charges resulted from incidents alleged to have taken place between March and May of 2017.

Austintown police arrested Johnson at his residence Monday at 1:20 p.m. He will appear for arraignment next Tuesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
