Man faces charges after school bus driver threatened

BOARDMAN — A Youngstown man faces menacing charges after he is accused of threatening a school bus driver while he picked up kids.

Matthew Campbell, 35, of East Lucius Avenue faces one count of misdemeanor menacing.

A bus driver for West Boulevard Elementary School told police he had asked to speak to the father or guardian of two children Monday morning because of their behavior on the bus.

The man responded with, “If I see you on the street, bus 16, I’m going to [expletive] you up, you [expletive].”

He followed the driver in his blue pickup truck while more than a dozen children were on board.

Campbell was booked and released on $500 bond.
