Prior to the walk through, CHS Principal Michael Moldovan addressed the student body.

“Good afternoon. We have the pleasure today to continue our Canfield High School tradition of a walk-through to honor student athletes who have qualified for state competition. We have seven members of our wrestling team traveling to Columbus to compete in the State Wrestling Tournament and we would like to recognize their great accomplishment. We are very, very excited about our wrestlers competing this weekend. Also, congratulations to our wrestling coaches. Let’s bring home some state championships. So step out of your classrooms and show them your support,” Moldovan said.

As the wrestling team members walked through the school, they were honored by and wished good luck by their classmates, faculty, staff and family members, while also joined by Big Red, the Canfield High School mascot.
