Craft beer, gourmet popcorn pairing at Noble Creature


Noble Creature Cask House and Karma Korn Poppery will present the Mahoning Valley’s first Beer+Popcorn Pairing event. It will take place Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Noble Creature, 126 Rayen Ave. Tickets are $20.

Attendees will sample four Noble Creature beers, each paired with two hand-selected flavors of Karma Korn gourmet popcorn. Tickets can be purchased in advance at and at the door. Attendees must be 21 or older.

Proceeds will benefit the Youngstown State University Student Affairs Leadership Support Association, a group of graduate students pursuing master’s degrees in counseling and student affairs who share a goal of becoming higher education administrators and staff.YSU art exhibition at the McDonough


The 82nd annual Juried Student Art and Design Exhibition, featuring works by Youngstown State University art students, opens Friday and runs through April 6 at the McDonough Museum of Art, 624 Wick Ave. Artists will be honored at a free reception and awards ceremony from 5 to 7 p.m. that day.

Awards will include cash and gift certificates. Categories include photography, painting, sculpture, digital media and graphic and interactive design.

The juror is Andrew Ellis Johnson, art professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
