St. Patrick's Day Parade, 1 p.m., March 11, Boardman. The parade will march north on Market Street from McClurg Road to Southwoods Avenue. This year’s theme is “40 Years of Irish Pride” as the Mahoning Valley’s largest seasonal parade marks its 40th anniversary. More than 30,000 spectators are expected. Lunch with the Leprechaun, Fellows Riverside Gardens, 11 a.m. March 10. Enjoy a traditional Irish corned beef buffet with entertainment by County Mayo from 11 a.m. to noon, tasting of Irish ales, tableside shamrock planting, magic time with Shamus O’Foole and the Burke Irish Dancers. St Baldrick’s Day Celebration, O’Donold’s Irish Pub and Grill, 6000 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, March 10. Event begins at noon with head shaving starting at 1 p.m. Cost is $5. Guests can have fun while raising money to conquer childhood cancers. The highlight of the day is when the more than two dozen men, women and children — who previously raised sponsors — have their heads shaved. The shaving will be done by stylists from Great Clips. Gift baskets, raffles, food, drink specials and entertainment will run throughout the day. Leprechaun Lollapalooza, Poland Library, March 10. Leprechaun Magic Show at 10 a.m. followed immediately by the Parade of Leprechauns. Dress as a leprechaun or in your most festive St. Patrick’s Day gear. Each child who enters the parade will receive an entry for a chance to win a book of Irish fairytales. For children in grade six and under. Following the parade will be St. Patrick’s Day story time for children of all ages. 21st Annual St. Paddy’s Day 5k Run and 1 Mile Shamrock Fun Run/Walk, O’Donold’s Irish Pub and Grill, 6000 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, noon March 10. Day of race registration and packet pickup begins at 10:30 a.m. in the celebration tent in front of O’Donold’s. Entry fee is $18 for pre-registration and $20 on race day.
