ASAP to host addiction program Saturday
The Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention, a program of the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board, is presenting “Hope for Recovery from Addiction: The Grand-Family Edition” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the classroom/administration building at Kent State at Trumbull. Doors open at 5 p.m. The event is free. The program is especially intended for grandparents raising grandchildren because of the opioid crisis. More than 35 agencies and support groups will be part of the resource fair taking place before and after the program. Free pizza will be served from 5 to 5:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by Mercy Health, the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board, The Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention and Kent State Trumbull.
