Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.


Wednesday, June 27: Cheeseburger, sour cream and chives potato wedges, mixed vegetables, applesauce, cookie and milk

Thursday, June 28: Jumbo beef ravioli, Italian vegetables, broccoli, pears, wheat bread, cookie and chocolate milk

Friday, June 29: Beef stew, corn, green beans, juice, bread, cookie and milk

Monday, July 2: Macaroni and cheese, green beans, diced carrots, applesauce, bread, cookie and milk

Tuesday, July 3: Nachos grande, tater tots, corn, peaches, cookie and milk


The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at seven locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or older. Reservations must be made two working days in advance by 2 p.m. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make a reservation or for information, call 330-675-2486. The office is at 2959 Youngstown Road SE, Warren.

Thursday, June 28: Cold antipasto salad, breadstick, mandarin oranges, sherbet or graham crackers and milk

Friday, June 29: Turkey-sausage cheese omelet, whole grain English muffin with jelly, breakfast potatoes, orange juice, warm cinnamon peaches, mini muffin or sugar-free cookie and milk

Monday, July 2: Southwest chicken wrap, tossed salad with ranch dressing, pears, ice cream or vanilla wafers and milk

Tuesday, July 3: Turkey, bacon and cheese junior club on a sandwich roll with mayonnaise, tomato and onion salad, potato salad, mixed fruit, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk
