Bar, restaurant workers celebrate
Summer is the busy season for bartenders, servers and kitchen staff at the area’s bars and restaurants but they can celebrate in style at the Smithworks Bartender’s Ball on July 9 at 8 p.m. at Suzie’s Dogs & Drafts, 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road.
The ball will be country-themed so cowboy boots, hats and other apparel are encouraged but not mandatory. Event sponsor Smithworks American Made Vodka will provide a complimentary tasting bar until 11:30 p.m., at which time a cash bar will open. The event will also include contests, prizes, complimentary DD for Hire drivers and live music by Chris Higbee.
Admission to the event — presented by Mahoning Valley Hospitality Alliance — is free for local bartenders, servers and kitchen staff but registration is required. Go to eventbrite.com. VIP tickets are also available at the website and accessible with the password BLAKE (they will be available for sale until the day of the event).
The Mahoning Valley Hospitality Alliance reserves the right to deny admission to any individual.
