Mill Creek Chapter of ABWA will meet July 10 at the Georgeanne Parker Pavilion in Boardman Park. Networking will take place at 6 p.m. followed by a picnic-style dinner at 6:30. The installation of the 2018-19 officers will take place during the meeting. The public is welcome.

Safe Talks with Valerie Flanigan, licensed social worker, will be presented by Judge Beth A. Smith of Mahoning County Domestic Relations Court from 10 to 11 a.m. each Wednesday in June at the Mahoning County Courthouse, basement level. These meetings are intended for anyone who has safety concerns in their relationship or who experience domestic violence. Week one will cover the signs of an abusive personality, week two will cover the topics of power, control and the cycle of violence, week three will cover how to know if someone has changed and week four will cover understanding emotional abuse.
