Association seeks volunteers
The Down Syndrome Association of the Valley is hosting its iCAN Shine Bike Camp from Monday to Friday at Boardman-Glenwood Middle School to help individuals with disabilities achieve the skill of riding a two-wheeled bicycle. Volunteers are needed to assist with this camp. High school and college students are encouraged to use this opportunity to earn volunteer hours. If interested in becoming a volunteer, register online at https://bit.ly/2xXRFY6. There are five sessions to choose from, each worth 90 minutes of volunteer time. Participants may volunteer for multiple sessions. Session times are: 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., 11:05 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., 1:30 to 2:45 p.m., 3:05 to 4:20 p.m., or 4:45 to 6 p.m.
MVRHA Museum to open Saturday
The Mahoning Valley Railroad Heritage Association Museum, 1340 Poland Ave., will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The display will feature railroad engines, railroad cars and cabooses. It also will include a collection of steel mill-related railroad equipment, including a ladle car, and mould car. Children age 12 and under are free with a parent or guardian; 13 and over admission is $2 per person.The museum will be open the second Saturday of each month through September. Reunion committee to meet Monday
The East High School Class of 1968 50th reunion committee will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Donavito’s Restaurant & Catering Co., 139 S. Bridge St.
