Rotberg-Kim Duo to present free classical concert

The Rotberg-Kim Duo will present free concerts at 7 p.m. Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 421 Covington St., North Side, and at 7 p.m. Saturday at Jefferson Congregational Church, 41 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson.

Violinist Barton Samuel Rotberg and Korean-born pianist Sungeun Kim are faculty at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory and perform regularly with the Chagrin Chamber Series.

The duo’s program will include Hungarian composer Bela Bartok’s Six Romanian Dances, Ottorino Respighi’s Sonata in B Minor, Jules Massenet’s Meditation from Thais and several pieces by Youngstown State University Professor Emeritus Robert Rollin.

Violinist Gwyneth Rollin, accompanied by the composer, will open the concert with Rollin’s Two Melodies About Elijah (2018).
