Men's Garden Club of Youngstown will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Boardman Park office building, Georgeanna Parker activity room for a plant auction and casserole dinner. Friends of the Fellows Riverside Gardens will host a "Great Growers of the Great Lakes State," a trip to Michigan that will take place July 31 through Aug. 2. Participants will visit three young plant producers' growing sites and Michigan State University's Horticulture Gardens and Trial Garden. They also will visit the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture park, the city of Holland and the Meyer May House, built by Frank Lloyd Wright. Cost is $450 for Friends members with one roommate and $495 for nonmembers with one roommate. Additional rooms and price options are available. Holborn Herb Growers Guild will meet for a picnic at 6 p.m. June 19 at Boardman Park in the Master's Pavilion. Anyone interested in attending may come at 5 p.m to Mary Grace's home, 149 Greenbay Drive, Boardman, to explore her gardens. All are asked to take a covered dish. Main course, paper products and drinks will be provided.
