Warren teens in stolen Cadillac run from cops, are jailed

WARREN

A male and female, both 15, were taken to the Trumbull County Juvenile Justice Center today after they fled on foot from police from a stolen car.

The male is from Maywood Street Northwest, and the female is from Lexington Avenue Northwest.

Police said they were called at 4:41 a.m. to Drexel Avenue for a Cadillac speeding. Officers spotted the car short-cutting through the Rite Aid parking lot on Parkman Road and made a traffic stop, but both teens ran.

The female stopped running and gave herself up, but police used a dog and tracked him to the female’s house, where he was found in the garage. He initially gave officers a false last name.

Police found cell phones in the car belonging to the male and female and a bb or pellet gun.

Both teens were charged with felony receiving stolen property. The female was also charged with obstructing official business, and the male was charged with breaking and entering and falsification.
