Bug Day for kids at MetroParks Farm


Mill Creek MetroParks will present Bug Day on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road. Children can earn a master of bugology diploma by playing bug bingo, racing bugs, hunting for bugs, making a bug craft and more. This free event is sponsored by WFMJ/WBCB-TV and will be held rain or shine.

Bluegrass festival at Nelson Ledges


The Smokin’ Seafood Bluegrass Festival, featuring headliners Leftover Salmon (Friday) and the Infamous Stringdusters (Saturday), will take place Aug. 17-19 at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park. The lineup also includes the JD Westmoreland Band, the Flying Jays, the Bluegrass Sweet Hearts, P.A. Line, Jim Miller, Steve Sweeney and more.
