Memorial Ride to raise awareness of autism

The sixth annual Mike Hull Memorial Ride for Autism will take place Saturday. Mike Hull was a husband, father and brother as well as the grandfather of a granddaughter who is on the autism spectrum. The ride’s purpose is to raise awareness and funds for autism.

Registration will take place at 11 a.m. at the Dash Inn, 2716 Mahoning Ave., and the ride will begin at noon. The route will begin at the Dash Inn and proceed to the Grandview Tavern in Lake Milton, the Power House Cafe in Salem, the Styx bar in Cornersburg, The New Brickhouse Tavern in Youngstown and end at West Side Bowl (the former Strikers/Mahoning Valley Lanes), 2617 Mahoning Ave.

A bowling and pizza party will take place at noon. Free for children and adults with special needs from noon to 10 p.m. with music by DJ Crazy.

Cost is $10 per rider and includes a food ticket, music and more. Non-riders may attend, and there will be a basket and 50-50 raffle.

Funds raised will support the programming of the Autism Society of Mahoning Valley in helping families and individuals with autism in the tri-county area.
