Idora Park Day planned at Park Vista


Ohio Living Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., will host Idora Park Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday. There will be a display of some of the original ride cars and other memorabilia from the amusement park.

The event will offer cotton candy, ice cream and French fries. The Idora Park display comes to Ohio Living Park Vista courtesy of Jim and Toni Amey, owners of The Idora Park Experience in Canfield.

Dog rescue to host event Saturday


Legacy Dog Rescue, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, will host a Hot Diggity Dog Day from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, at Lil Paws Winery, 17574 Mahoning Ave.

Cost is $10 for five hot dog tastes. Many different hot dog toppings to choose from. Veggie dogs also will be served. A basket auction will take place. Lil Paws will donate $1 for every bottle purchased during the event, so stock up for summer.

The public is encouraged to attend and support the organization's efforts to help abused, neglected and abandoned dogs of Trumbull & Mahoning County.

Food Truck Friday set for July 27


Shepherd of the Valley will host a food truck festival from 4 to 9 p.m. July 27 at Eastwood Field. The event will have more than 10 food trucks and 40 vendors.

Each vehicle will be charged $10 for entry, regardless of the number of people attending. All proceeds benefit Shepherd's Foundation to support activities and benevolent care for residents.

Food Truck Friday's event sponsors include Blue Sky Therapy and Hill Barth and King. Gold Sponsors are Biviano Carpet and The Cafaro Foundation. Bronze Sponsors include Attorney Diane Chermely and York Mahoning Mechanical Contractors.
