Salem Kiwanis will sponsor its 54th annual antique and craft show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Park East Pershing Street and Park Avenue in Salem. Admission is free. This year’s show will feature food vendors, music, including a brass quartet, and more then 50 auction items and basket raffles. This is one of eastern Ohio’s largest antique and craft shows. Columbiana Wine Fest, set for Friday and Saturday, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Town Center at Firestone Farms, 101 Town Center Ave., is selling tickets at area retailers as well as online. Cost is $25 in advance and $30 at the gate and includes 10 tasting tickets, a souvenir Wine Fest glass and event program. Attendees must be 21 or older to participate. Sunshine Benefit Golf Outing's 13th annual event will take place at Lakeside Golf Course, Lake Milton, on Saturday. The outing is sponsored by Magilla's Sports Bar, and proceeds benefit Rachel Sheridan of Boardman, a sonographer at UPMC Horizon who is battling stage 3 breast cancer. The volunteer committee hosts the event to help cancer sufferers and their families in the Mahoning and Shenango valleys to defray medical costs. The outing is a three-person scramble with continental lunch at the turn. A steak fry will take place following the scramble, at Magilla’s Sports Bar, 255 Four Mile Run Road, Austintown. New Middletown Village will host its National Night Out on Aug. 7. NNO is a nationwide crime prevention initiative that brings out citizens and police in a relaxed atmosphere. Sutliff Museum is announcing its exhibit that will run through August. The exhibit is "Being a Victorian: Hygiene History of the 19th Century," and explores the hygiene habits of men and women in the late 1800s. There also is an exhibit of "The Original S'mores" ornaments. Each ornament shows a snowman made of marshmallows depicting various holidays, occupations, milestones of life, and more. Suzie's Dogs & Drafts, 34 N. Phelps St., Youngstown, in cooperation with the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley, is sponsoring a "Donate a Hot Dog" campaign to help provide food to the area's homeless population. Throughout the year, Suzie's customers can donate a hot dog for the hungry and write a note of support. Donations will be matched dog-for-dog by the restaurant. On the second Wednesday of every month, employees will provide a meal and bring all the notes for the overnight residents and meal visitors at the Rescue Mission. The goal is food for the body and encouragement for the spirit. The project is inspired by the shooting death last November of Colin Brown. Brown worked in the restaurant industry, managing newly opened restaurants and helping get them off the ground. He was a volunteer with the Common Wealth Kitchen Incubator in Youngstown, was known for his pay it forward attitude and always helping those in need.
