Church hall will host festival Sunday

Holy Apostles Parish will host its annual festival Sunday that will take place at St. Anne Church hall, 4310 Kirk Road. A 10:30 a.m. Mass will begin the festival. There will be music featured and food for purchase. Games and activities will be available for children, basket raffles and more. For information, call 330-743-1905.

Winds at the Winery planned for Sunday

BERLIN CENTER

The Canfield Community Concert Band will host the third annual Winds at the Winery from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday at Mastropietro Winery, 14558 Ellsworth Road. The event will feature six ensembles, including the Ashtabula Brass Band, the Gem City Brass, the Take 5 Brass Quintet, the Cortland Community Band, the Youngstown Area Community Concert Band, the Austintown Fitch Alumni Jazz Band and the Canfield Community Concert Band. There will be a different band every hour. Attendees are asked to take their own lawn chairs. Monaco’s Concessions will have food available throughout the day. The event also will include a 50-50 raffle, raffle prizes and door prizes. A portion of the proceeds will go to Angels for Animals for its Angel Wing Campaign. Green infrastructure workshop planned

YOUNGSTOWN

The public is invited to the Oak Hill Collaborative, 507 Oak Hill Ave. at 6:30 p.m. Monday for an introduction to green infrastructure, hands-on mapping exercises, and visioning for how Youngstown’s stormwater management plans could bring new green spaces to the community. The city is working to develop a green infrastructure plan and the public’s help is needed in figuring out what kinds of green spaces to create. This event will be hosted by Greenprint Communities, Youngstown’s The Colony, Green Youngstown, and Friends of the Mahoning River. Society to offer summer camp

The Salem Historical Society will offer a Hands-On-History Summer Camp for students in fourth through sixth grade from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dale Shaffer Research Library, 239 South Lundy. The $10 registration fee includes lunch and materials. Topics include calligraphy, manners, artifact treasure hunt, recording and illustrating stories, knot-tying, printing press and robots.
