Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.


Wednesday, July 11: Baked ziti, Italian vegetables, diced carrots, bread, juice and milk

Thursday, July 12: Pork fritter, Brussels sprouts, corn, pineapple tidbits, wheat bread, cookie and chocolate milk

Friday, July 13: Breakfast burrito, tater tots, juice, cookie and milk

Monday, July 16: Manicotti, zucchini, carrots, applesauce, bread, cookie and milk

Tuesday, July 17: Macaroni and cheese, winter vegetables, peas, peaches, wheat bread, cookie and milk


The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at seven locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or older. Reservations must be made two working days in advance by 2 p.m. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make a reservation or for information, call 330-675-2486. The office is at 2959 Youngstown Road SE, Warren.

Wednesday, July 11: Sweet and sour meatballs over egg noodles, whole grain dinner roll with margarine, carrots, Hawaiian coleslaw, warm peaches, sherbet or vanilla wafers and milk

Thursday, July 12: Cold chicken, spinach and cranberry salad with balsamic dressing, chilled beets, mixed fruit, mini loaf or sugar-free cookie and milk

Friday, July 13: Meatloaf with gravy, whipped potatoes, wax beans, apricots, banana pudding or sugar-free pudding and milk

Monday, July 16: Pork carnita taco on a whole grain tortilla shell, rice with chives, corn, sweet and sour coleslaw, applesauce, sherbet or graham crackers and milk

Tuesday, July 17: Baked salmon with dill sauce, wheat bread with margarine, roasted potatoes, broccoli, pineapple tidbits, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk
