“The Strokes of Genius” (8 p.m., The CW): This two-hour documentary showcases a rivalry of historic proportions and the greatest tennis match of all time. In the 2008 Wimbledon men’s final, five-time champion Roger Federer was on track to take his place as the most dominant player in the history of the game. In the last few minutes of the match, the world witnessed a coronation. Only it wasn’t a crowning for the Swiss heir apparent but for a swashbuckling Spaniard, 22-year-old Rafael Nadal.

Slovak Day at Kennywood

PITTSBURGH

The 95th annual Slovak Day at Kennywood Park will take place July 19. It will feature displays, authentic Slovak costumes, folk dance performances, food and music for dancing, plus children’s activities.

A highlight of Slovak Day is the Mass of Slovak Liturgy in Pavilion No. 5, behind the Garfield’s Revenge ride, at 4 p.m. The Pittsburgh Slovakians and the Pittsburgh Area Slovak Folk Ensemble will perform after the service.

Friendly Squares plan ‘Hot Dog’ dance

The Friendly Squares will host it “Hot Dog” square dance July 14 from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Niles SCOPE Center, 14 E. State St.. Gene Hammond and Neil Harner will be the callers and Frankie Hammond will call line dances. This will be a High/Low dance with tips for new dancers and tips for more experienced dancers. Dress is casual. Grilled hot dogs and all the fixings will be served. Admission is $6.

The Friendly Squares will have Fun Nights on Sept. 11 and 18, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. both nights, at the Niles SCOPE Center. Square dance lessons will be offered for beginners. No prior dance experience is required, and all age groups are welcome. It is not necessary to attend with a dance partner.

The admission fee each night is $6.
