YOUNGSTOWN — Amer "Al" Adi Othman has arrived in Jordan.
Pictures and video of him arriving at the airport show him being greeted by family and friends including his 90-year-old mother, Fayzeh Othman.
In a video clip, the downtown businessman says: "I pray for whoever sat behind that desk and signed that decision because I can't see anyone with that much hate in their chests and in their hearts."
Adi was taken out of prison – where the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE, had him detained since Jan. 16 – on Monday and deported him to his native country of Jordan. He has been in the U.S. for more than 30 years.
