Campbell Elementary/Middle School recently hosted a holiday door decorating contest for teachers and students. The theme was “The Sounds of Christmas,” and there were two brackets, kindergarten through third-grade and fourth- through seventh-grade. Judges were the Rev. Daniel Yargo of Christ Community Church in Campbell and Melissa Arden, MCESC community engagement specialist. Winners for kindergarten through third-grade were Tammy Johnson and her homeroom with “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas,” above, and winners for fourth- through seventh-grade, below were Annette Tovarnak and her homeroom with “Feliz Navidad.” The homerooms will receive doughnuts, and both teachers will get a $20 Dunkin Donuts gift card. They also each receive an award to hang on their door.
