Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.


Wednesday, Jan. 10: Cheeseburger, sour cream and chives potato wedges, mixed vegetables, applesauce, cookie and milk

Thursday, Jan. 11: Jumbo beef ravioli, Italian vegetables, broccoli, pears, wheat bread, cookie and chocolate milk

Friday, Jan. 12: Beef stew, corn, green beans, juice, bread, cookie and milk

Monday, Jan. 15: Closed

Tuesday, Jan. 16: Nachos grande, tater tots, corn, peaches, cookie and milk


The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at 11 locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or older. Reservations must be made two working days in advance, by 2 p.m. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make reservations or for information, call 330-675-2486. The office is at 2959 Youngstown Road SE, Warren.

Wednesday, Jan. 10: Mushroom Swiss burger on a sandwich roll, potato wedges with ketchup, Harvard beets, peaches, apple muffin or vanilla wafers and milk

Thursday, Jan. 11: Breaded chicken cutlet, wheat bread with margarine, au gratin potatoes, carrots, mandarin oranges, ice cream or graham crackers and milk

Friday, Jan. 12: Meatballs with marinara sauce, Italian bread with margarine, baked ziti, Italian green beans, Ceasar Salad with dressing, fresh apple slices, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk

Monday, Jan. 15: Closed

Tuesday, Jan. 16: Beef braciole with gravy over noodles, bread with margarine, lima beans, carrots, cottage cheese with peaches and milk
