Warren walks planned
Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership has received one of 27 Community Change micro grants from America Walks to allow TNP to have four walks in various Warren neighborhoods in May.
The Community Change program encourages safe, accessible and enjoyable places to walk and physical activity. The grants, which are for up to $1,500, are intended to expand the diversity of people and organizations working to advance walking and help to make walking safer and easier, the America Walks website says.
TNP was selected from more than 750 applications. It’s planning the walk during the nationwide Jane’s Walk events May 4-6.
The walks will begin at a neighborhood site with a leader and will be 30 to 60 minutes long.
